Sorry, gotta go check Blogbook

I was driving today, and thinking about how a lot of micro blog sites (e.g. tumblr) have become very network-y. And also, how many people (e.g. myself) have shifted to blogging instead of social networking. In fact, our social networking is starting to have share some huge similarities to traditional blogging. I mean, look at twitter. Its just a bunch of personal updates. (and isn't that blogging in essence?)

Looks like I'm not the only one noticing this trend.

I was briefly scrolling through lookbook a moment ago, and saw this ^

"ALYSSA L." seems to agree.

It really is not the least bit surprising, considering how utterly narcissistic we humans are. Let's face it. We love talking, posting, tweeting, etcetcetc about ourselves. I'm guilty of it too (obviously) and it isn't something to be ashamed of.

Its more about how you do it. As long as people continue to take pride in the content and aesthetics of their blog, I see no real problem with it. Unfortunately I doubt this will be preserved if the millions of distasteful people decide to create blogs...but we can always ignore them, no? Let's hope so.

CAUTION: honestly, just skip this post if you don't watch gossip girl. (and don't judge. you don't understanddd)

will continue to be marvelous with episodes like these. Season 5 of gossip girl had been every thing I imagined and more and all of us chair fans (the rest of you are in denial) know that its about to get even better. I've been elated the past few weeks as the Chuck and Blair action gets more and more intense. I'm so ready for her to dump the price and stop kidding herself. And seriously, props to Max, the poor thing. He better carry out his threat; I'm so so sick of Charlie/ivy/whatever. But whatever everything else is irrelevant; Chuck said some even more amazing than usual things tonight.

Well, in addition to this my day was fine and I calculated I have exactly 7 days of school left before I am done with high school forever. I can't believe it. I don't even care I'm so ready. home again & résumés de la vie

Returned home today to a very cold house. It definitely got chillier around here. I thought winter would never come...but can't get too excited due to Texas weather's intense mood swings. Other than the breaking news of the temperature dropping a nice 40 degrees, that is all I have to update, considering I spent the entire day in a car. Oh well, hello

Stumbled upon these today. Great. Just when I thought Steve Madden couldn't come out with anything more amazing this season, he proves me wrong and comes out with my favorite style of shoe covered in my favorite hardware. Thanks alot, Steve, especially considering these bad boys are $249.95, verging on the higher side for Steve Madden...but obviously because, lets face it they are absolutely worth it.

post thanksgiving trauma yumyum

Things just got a lot more stressful. Luckily I'm too broke to even try and concern myself with black friday sales and the hustle and the hassle, though I wish I could immerse myself in velvet and bows and gold shoes and all the other things on my ever growing "to-buy" list. But, I'm all for being productive and that list is going to have to wait.
Until then, enjoy my to-do list as of this very moment.

• call Roy about the lease and FINALLY settle all of this, considering move in date is now in less than a month.
• call Meredith because I've promising to call her for about a week now and...what do you know another missed call. I'm such a great best friend. :3
• call Andy and let him know when I return tomorrow
• pack to go home
• pretend like this is all I need to do tonight
